Dr. Emily Schwartz Chosen to Succeed Dr. Paul Decker in Dental Practice

DAVISON, MI - Building on 13 years of high-quality, patient centered dentistry, Dr. Emily R. Schwartz has been chosen by Dr. Paul M. Decker to succeed him in practice as he embarks on a new phase of his life.

As Dr. Decker leaves the practice, the name will change from Paul M. Decker, DDS, to Davison Dental, PLLC. Dr. Schwartz hopes that the new practice name broadens perceptions and embraces the hometown feel, location and mission of the dental office. "It’s our goal to serve and support the Davison community, and with the new name we hope to identify the practice as a dedicated contributor and positive force in the local business community," states Dr. Schwartz.

Dr. Decker commented, "Dr. Schwartz is acutely aware that quality of care is very important to our patients, but what mattered most to the staff, was that Dr. Schwartz was a very caring, compassionate and thoughtful person. After a long and thorough search for an individual who would best represent the practice and the community of Davison, I feel very comfortable to transfer the practice to Dr. Schwartz, whom I respect both personally and professionally."

Dr. Schwartz was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and is a proud Genesee County resident. She completed her undergraduate studies at Albion College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Upon graduation from Albion, she attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In the years following dental school she worked in two successful Genesee County practices with the long-term goal of becoming a practice owner.

Like Dr. Decker, Dr. Schwartz is committed to high-quality, state-of-the-art dentistry, with emphasis on comfort, education, prevention, and treatment of all patients as individuals and as friends. Davison Dental will continue to celebrate the traditional roots of the office, while marketing the office to an ever-growing patient population.

A new roadside sign embracing the new name and logo is in production. Look for the change in February 2010.
